Feedback

Julia had a very close eye on each individual without micromanaging the group. She was effective at keeping the group on task, facilitating processing what the children have learned, and prepping them in what they would learn. The activities she chose for the group were successful as the kids learned, stayed positive, and had a fun time as a group.

She was a pro! Very good with the kids – well-prepared & informative. She was patient and kind to the kids, yet got their attention and kept them engaged. They became aware of being a steward to the environment and each other.

You always accommodated the things that I needed and taught in many different ways.

Julia made sure to engage all students — even the quiet ones. She was positive and fun but set clear boundaries for the kids.

We had a lot of reflection on team building activities where Julia asked the kids about their feelings about their voices not being heard. It was a positive experience for kids to witness each other be vulnerable.

In a “stick-figure assessment”, students provide instructor feedback in various ways. On the left hand, the student wrote something I helped them with, the right hand was something they learned from me, the body was 3 words to describe me, left foot was their final words to me, and right foot was something I said often.
